Air Conditioner Services

Most people think that air conditioners work by pulling warm outside air into their homes. What really happens is the air already present inside your house is being recirculated and cooled by the air conditioner. This cycle continues until your thermostat reaches the desired temperature that was input.

An air conditioner is basically a refrigerator without the insulated box. It uses the evaporation of a refrigerant, like Freon, to provide cooling. Air is circulated over the coils containing the Freon, cooling it.

Air conditioners help clean your home’s air as well. Almost all units have built in filters that filter out harmful debris like pollen, dirt and smoke, found in everyday outside air. Air conditioners also function as dehumidifiers. They take excess moisture found in the air and use it to cool the unit before getting rid of the water either through a hose to the outside, or just a valve, like a window-unit or car air conditioner.
